a bit more color done

Not sure if the skin tone is good or really off, and there's still the jacket to contend with, but for a bit here, bit there it's coming along nicely.

C2E2 is quickly approaching...

And yours truly is frantically scrambling to accomplish a great many things to be ready for it as well as a number of other things (remember to breathe). To that end, the inks are squared away for the matador print I am making to sell at C2E2 (if it's finished in time).

It was also possible to wrap up the color flats for it while waiting on other things (jobs and such). Still quite a bit to do but cross your fingers and say little prayers for increased productivity and maybe it will happen.

Matador

A while ago a muse fell before me in the form of the song El Matador by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs combined with an urge to take a stab at drawing a pinup. And so, a few blue pencils later, the start of a matador themed pinup was formed. It was at this point that I looked up the song lyrics and realized how far off the mark the piece fell from the intent of the song. Sorry. The piece was then set aside to make time for work and more urgent projects.

Today while working on some illustrations of monsters there was some down time. Wanting to keep a rhythm going I grabbed the nearest thing that was ready for ink and started picking away at it. There's still plenty to do, but it seems to be off to a pretty decent start.
